2014 Economic Conference Success!

economic conferenceToday’s “What Connecticut Can Do to Begin Growing” 2014 Economic Conference was a success! A special thank you to James C. Smith and Herbert Browne IV for speaking to our guests comprising of student’s, sponsors, board members and community leaders. The Tunxis Community College Foundation prides itself in its 43rd year of service to the College. This conference is one of our primary fundraising programs which along with other special events and community outreach raises funds that provide:

  • Annual scholarships totaling over $50,000 to Tunxis students
  • Support to college community service projects to expand student and faculty member academic experiences
  • Student emergency aid
  • Arts and cultural programs
  • Funding for the purchase of equipment, furnishings and computers
  • Support for the Veteran’s OASIS
  • Other priority needs as identified by the College and Foundation
